Party Like It’s 1992

I’m 25 and the happiest I could ever be. For the first time ever, I threw myself a really “big” party. I loved the food, fun, friends, and the theme. Most of my peers grew up in the 90s and I thought it would be cool to celebrate the most exciting birthday ever with music, games, decor, and movies from the era that left just a lasting impact on us.

My sister, the budding event coordinator, basically pulled everything together for me. Be sure to check her out at marksiscreations.wordpress.com. I was, of course, very much involved (as much as I could be) and here’s what you’ll need to throw a party (almost) as cool as mine:

Always rely on Party City.

We have pizza, wings, chips and dip, and a whole lot of CANDY! Oh, and of course, cookies!

We’d been planning the soundtrack for months and it had the best of the best. Destiny’s Child, Nsync, and all the greats!

The hall that we rented has a big screen TV and we had two movies (Pulp Fiction and The Rugrats Movie) playing in the background. Just to save any introverts that needed to take a time out from all the excitement.

I thought it would be a fun idea to play a few rousing games at my party and so we got down and dirty with extreme Twister.

I thought long and hard about getting a photobooth at my party but it wasn’t working out. As such, I created two awesome snap chat filters that embodied the essence of my amazing party.

I want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate with me. It means the world to me. I especially want to thank those who had to drive a little ways to get to Huntsville. Also, thank you so so so much to my sister for planning everything. Check out her blog for party planning (marksiscreations). You’re the best. Happy birthday to me and much love to everyone. XX!
